These are truly unimaginable economic times.  Not since the Great Depression have the failures in 
financial markets and the automotive industry been more apparent.  Seeing the Big 3 in Washington
looking for a bailout package is an indication of how broken the domestic automotive industry has 
become.

These conditions have led us to make tough decisions and to recognize that our business model is no
longer the right one for today's economic challenges.  We have to learn from our experiences and we 
must change to reflect the new economic reality.  And, we are.

Effective immediately, I have restructured our business by closing a number of our dealerships and 
selling others.  This means a painful reduction in employees at these locations and I very much
regret the necessity of those actions.

Going forward, our management team will immediately focus on the remaining dealerships and
developing a new business model, one that delivers our customers less hassle, greater choice 
and more bang for your buck.

Over the past 30 years, we have sold thousands of vehicles to you, to your children and to your families;
we look forward to continuing to do so for decades to come.  We will be open for business as usual at 
our remaining locations and will continue to work hard to earn your business.

I am a big believer in the saying, "Lead, follow or get out of the way" and believe the actions we have 
taken today - difficult as they are - position us to be a leader in our industry and in our 
community.
